This afternoon, the USRFD responded to back to back calls to locations within the borough.
The first came in at around noon sending units to a residence on Union Ave. Chief Vogelsang (IC), Asst Chief Vierheilig (Ops) and Engine 1231 (OIC FF Yamaki) responded. Crews investigated to find an alarm malfunction.
The second alarm activated at a church on West Saddle River Road shortly after units cleared the first call. Asst Chief Vierheilig (IC) and Engine 1232 (OIC FF Roberts) arrived on scene to find an alarm malfunction. Once clear all units returned.
